MLTC in Canada builds power plant fueled by sawmill wood waste, powering 5000 homes

The MeadowLake Tribal Council has operationalized a new Bioenergy Centre producing energy for 5000 homes and a nearby sawmill kiln. After 50 years of burning it's wood waste, the NorSask Forest Products sawmill (Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan) combusts the byproducts in a closed-loop system. Filters and high temperatures allow the breakdown of pollutants into farm use-able ash.
